‘Balighawr’ director gears up move for shooting

Indian filmmaker Arindam Sil on Saturday officially introduced the cast and crew of his upcoming film ‘Balighawr’, a proposed Bangladesh-India joint venture production.
In this film, based on the novel ‘Dheu Ashe Dheu Jay’ by prominent Indian novelist Suchitra Bhattacharya, the casts include Nusrat Imroz Tisha, Arifin Shuvoo and Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed from Bangladesh and Abir Chatterjee, Parno Mitra and Rahul Banerjee from India, reports the UNB.
The director declared the names at a press briefing in the morning at a city hotel.
Managing Director of Bengal Creations Luva Nahid Choudhury and Arindam Sil on behalf of signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of the film at the programme.
‘Balighawr will be truly a joint venture film of which 95 percent shooting will be done in Bangladesh and the rest in India,’ said Arindam Sil, the director of this film.
Mentioning Balighawr as a relationship-based movie, the director said it is a story of seven friends and their reunion after 12 years.
Meanwhile, Bikram Ghosh, a noted Indian musician and Chirkut, the popular musical band of Bangladesh will produce music for the movie while Pantha Kanai is hoping to lend his voice for the playback.
Bengal Creations and Nothing Beyond Cinema, two production houses of Bangladesh and India, will jointly produce the film from this April.
In the programme, producer Abul Khayer, director Morshedul Islam, Bickram Ghosh, Nusrat Imroz Tisha, Arifin Shuvoo and Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed were, among others, present.
