Country’s leading theatre group Dhaka Padatik will stage its new show ‘Trial of Surya Sen’ on Sunday at the main auditorium of the national theatre building of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy at 6:30pm.

Journalist and cultural personality Kamal Lohani will inaugurate the opening stage show while former president of the troupe, its founding general secretary and  president of the Sommilito Sangskritik Jote Golam Kuddus, president of troupe Mizanur Rahman and general secretary Firoz Hossain will attend in the ceremony, reports the UNB.

The 38th production under the composition and direction of Masum Aziz is based on the anti-British movement, the trial Surya Sen.

The main characters of the drama are Surya Sen, Pritilata, Kalpana Dutta, Ambika Chakravarti, Lokenath Bal, Nirmalsen while 40 other characters will be seen in this play.
