For long now Shah Rukh Khan is working on his next release – Zero which is being directed by Aanand L Rai. Apart from SRK, the much talked about dwarf film also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in lead roles. The superstar hasn’t signed any other film after Zero and only recently he went on record and said he won’t do so until the release of Zero which will hit screens on December 21. But we now hear that Khan will begin work on Don 3 next and the makers are scripting the film at a frenetic pace, reports www.india.com.

A source told Deccan Chronicle, ‘Don has been a successful film. Don 2 turned out to be a hit as well, thus ensuring that the franchise can hold good. So, it is not just the makers — producer Ritesh Sidhwani and director Farhan Akhtar who are keen to take the film ahead. Shah Rukh Khan too has a sure-shot hit when he works in that film. There are already a lot of fans wanting to see the third part, which makes it a much-awaited project.’

Shah Rukh will reportedly begin work on Don 3 from December. A while ago there was buzz that Deepika Padukone will replace Priyanka Chopra in the Don sequel. However, producer Ritesh Sidhwani at the success bash of Fukrey Returns denied this development. He said, ‘Deepika is not part of Don’. Well, with this we wonder who’ll play SRK’s leading lady in Don 3?
