Indian singer Mika Singh was arrested in Abu Dhabi, the Indian Embassy confirmed to Khaleej Times on Thursday night. Indian Ambassador to the UAE Navdeep Singh Suri said: ‘He is under arrest. Our team is there. We are working to secure his release.’

The singer, known for the hit song Subha hone na de, was arrested for allegedly harassing a Brazilian teenage model. He last appeared at Masala Awards ceremony held at Fort Island, Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai on Tuesday. Singh was accused of sending indecent pictures along with promising the model a role in a Bollywood movie, reports khaleejtimes.com.

He was supposed to return to India on Thursday after performing at a private party in Dubai.
