Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC) will organise an evening of dance with Rachel Priyanka Perris at the centre’s Gulshan branch in the city on Saturday at 6:30pm.

Rachel Priyanka Perris is one of the versatile new generation classical dance artistes in Bangladesh. After completing graduation and post-graduation on Bharatnatyam from the Rabindra Bharati University, Rachel has been pursuing her M. Phil in Gaudiya Nritya from the same University under direct supervision of legendary Guru professor Mahua Mukherjee.

She aspires to be the first Gaudiya Nritya artiste in Bangladesh and has opted to devote herself in the research of Gaudiya Nritya in this sub-continent. She has been one of the youngest yet active classical dance artistes in Bangladesh. Being completed her diploma courses from Gaudiya Nritya Bharati, Nrittayanchal, and from Bangladesh Academy of Fine Arts, she has performed in numerous government and private programmes both at home and abroad, and has to her credit many prestigious acknowledgements and awards.
