Hanif Sanket’s distinct feat

Celebrated media personality Hanif Sanket is regarded as one of the best television anchors thanks to his inimitable style of presentation in the popular variety show of BTV — ‘Ityadi’. Recently, he has achieved a great feat, which has not yet been done by any other media personality in Bangladesh. His verified Facebook fan page has crossed 3 million subscribers which is by far the most by any celebrity in Bangladesh.
Hanif Sanket communicates with his fans through his programme: such as ‘Ityadi’ or occasional dramas that are specially made for Eid. He can hardly be seen on the pages of the newspaper talking about his works or achievements. Therefore readers will definitely be surprised to know that popular satellite channel NTV’s famous tagline ‘Shomoyer Sathe Agamir Pothe’ or ATN Bangla’s tagline ‘Obiram Banglar Mukh’ are given by him.
Besides, he is the pioneering package programme director in Bangladesh and ‘Ityadi’ was the first package magazine programme of BTV when it went on air on 25 November 1994. ‘Ityadi’ is the longest-running infotainment magazine show of BTV and 28 years on but it is still going strong.
Hanif Sanket has also 25 books to his credit. He received the prestigious Ekushey Padak in 2010 for his contribution in social development.
