Dhaka: Popular singer Kona has done a cameo in a Dhallywood film. She will be seen performing, for the first time, in a song for Alvi Ahmed’s maiden silver screen venture ‘U-turn’.

‘The movie was filmed in various scenic locations in Tangail’, said Alvi, a successful small screen director.  

‘Kona’s cameo was indispensable for the film, and she has done extremely well.’

‘I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the shooting. I hope the audience will like it’, Kona said.

The film’s shooting began in October last year. The film received the censor certificate on 17 May this year.

This is the maiden project for the producer Versatile Media. The film, among others, is starring Shipon, Sonia Hossain, Airin, Arshad Adnan, Irfan Sazzad, Moutushi Biswas, Pushon Azad, Shahiduzzaman Selim, and Misha Saudagor.

The film will be released in theatres across the country on 29 May.

The film has 10 songs. Besides Kona, Nancy and Toufiq have done playback in the film. G-series launches an album comprising music from the film.
