Valentine's gifts mostly loved by women
It's sweetly typical of women to like to get gifts, but Valentine’s Day is one day when they expect “special souvenir” from their lovers. And, as a matter of fact, they want their men to be romantically creative in this regard.
Ranging from a bouquet of glowing red rose to a splendid ring hidden in a little velvet-wrapped box, women's preferences actually go for the gift that they can sport and tell all their friends about, according to a new survey conducted on about 2000 women to show which presents they expect most on February 14.
They have let out a collective cheer for special gifts (54 percent), a romantic dinner date (26 percent) or simply having a romantic night at home (22 percent).
Old school style flowers (19 percent), cards (12 percent) and marriage proposals (seven percent) are out of the window, as they got voted the least desirable.
Paris (42 percent) and London (18 percent) emerged as favourite romantic destinations beating other popular ones such as New York (13 percent), Venice (12 percent), Berlin (four percent), Barcelona (two percent), Prague (four percent), Krakow (one percent) and Amsterdam (four percent).
“In today’s busy world, most couples are looking for options to spend quality time with their partner on Valentine’s Day. We too have witnessed an evident spike in our food and beverage and getaway deals,” Ankur Warikoo, CEO, Groupon India, said in a statement.
