Pabna: At least six people were killed as a truck rammed a utility vehicle at Kashinathpur of Sathia upazila in Pabna on Wednesday morning.

Pabna Police superintendent Miraz Uddin Ahmed said a garlic-laden Dhaka-bound truck rammed a Nasiman, utility vehicle used for public transport, at about 9:30am.

The accident also left five others injured. The injured were taken to Bera Upazila Health Complex.

Ahsan Muhuri, 38, from Shujanagar upazila, Rana Hossain, 30, and Runa Khatun, 18 died on the spot. Nasiman’s driver, Shamim and three others died on their way to hospital.

The deceased and injured were passengers of Nasiman.
