He may be turning 50-years-old on 14 March but Aamir Khan continues to break new boundaries. For his next film Dangal, the actor has put on 22kg.

‘When I was shooting for PK, I weighed 68 kilos with 9% body fat. I now weigh 90kgs,’ he said at the DVD launch of PK in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Aamir, who plays a wrestler in Dangal, has turned vegetarian for the film. ‘I have become totally veg for this role and even eggs are a strict no no. I am also learning the Haryanvi language for the role,’ he added.

But while the perfectionist is getting ready to Dangal, the film is still months away from shooting.

‘There are still three months before we start shooting for the film. Right now we are still casting for it,’ said the actor.

Aamir's role in Dangal is reportedly is loosely based on real life wrestler Mahavir Phogat, the father of wrestlers Geeta and Babita, and the makers are still on the lookout for actresses to play his daughters.
