The bollywood film ‘Ek Villain’ actor Sidharth Malhotra will surely be romancing actress Katrina Kaif in Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming production enterprise, reports Bollywoodlife.com.

While there have been a lot of gossip about the casting for Farhan Akhtar’s assistant, Nitya Mehra’s directorial debut, sources reveal that the lead pair has finally been locked.

For the last few months it has been speculated that Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra have been signed to play the lead in this love story to be produced by Excel Entertainment, reports Bollywoodlife.com.

Farhan confirms, ‘We’ve cast Katrina and Siddharth in Nitya’s film. Both the actors have very unexpected roles in the film. It’s significant to try out new pairs and permutations, as these work to make audiences curious about a film.’

A source reveals to Bollywoodlife.com, ‘Nitya had her script ready a couple of years ago. She had actors including Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan on her wishlist. Both had liked the script but they chose to act in Mohenjo Daro and Dangal respectively.’

‘The film was put on the backburner for a while as she got busy with her wedding preparations. She got married in Delhi recently and after the festivities, decided to get back to work on her debut venture.’

‘Recently Sidharth read the script and really liked it. Katrina shares a great equation with Farhan agreed to come on board. The fresh pairings in B-Town has already piqued the interest of the audience and the makers are cashing in on that.’

The film will go on floors after Katrina finishes work on Fitoor and Sid wraps up Kapoor & Sons. Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment was not available for comment.
