All necessary preparations have already been made to execute war crimes convict Jamaat-e-Islami leader Muhammad Kamaruzzaman, reports NTV Online correspondent from Dhaka Central Jail. The Jamaat leader was offering his prayers to the filing of this report.

The jail authorities are reportedly going to execute him within hours.

On one hand, Government high ups, Dhaka deputy commissioner, DIJ prison, assistant civil surgeon, physicians, and Lalbagh police deputy commissioner, have entered into the central jail.

On the other hand, the stage for execution, the hangmen, Imam, and ambulance for carrying dead body have reached the jail.

Besides, jail authorities finished Kamaruazzman’s health check-up signaling the Jamaat leader’s execution tonight.

Earlier the executive order of execution was read to Kamaruzzman who did not seek presidential mercy after the Appellate Division upheld his death sentence for his crimes against humanity during the 1971 Independence War.
