Agrani bank recruitment test cancelled
The Agrani Bank Limited authorities on Friday cancelled tests for the recruitment of senior and cash officers under the Freedom Fighters quota due to question paper and OMR answer sheet shortages.
The decision was taken 10 minutes after the exam started at 9:30am.
Abdul Hamid, managing director of the bank, said that generally 50-60 percent applicants attend the exam. But this time the turnout was nearly 100 percent.
As a result, the exam was cancelled due to shortage of question papers and answer sheets.
An official of the Bank said, Bangladesh Institute of Bank management (IBM) was assigned the task of holding the exam.
The new date for the exam will be announced later.
Almost 11,000 candidates applied for the senior officer post while 3,500 were cash officer aspirants.
