Dhaka: Seven people were killed and four others were injured when a bus and a microbus collided head-on at Vatiapara in Gopalgaj at about 11:00am on Saturday.

Three of the deceased were women and the rest are men.

Gopalganj additional police super Sheikh Jahidul Islam said a Kashiani-bound ‘Ashik Sagar’ bus from Gopalganj town collided head-on with a Khulna-bound microbus at Vatiapara.

A passenger died on the spot. Ten people sustained serious injuries, and they were taken to Kashiani Upazila Health Complex where six succumbed to their injuries.
