Satkhira: Local people on Friday noon gave a good beating to a Madrasa teacher and handed him over to police for allegedly molesting a minor boy in Sathkhira.

The teacher is M Abu Sayeed, in his thirties, of Munsiganj Kadamtola in Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira and a teacher of Darul Ulum Kawmi Madrasa at Itgacha in the town.

Police said Sayeed called the victim at his room in the madrasa and started to violate him at about 12:30pm.

Hearing the scream of the boy, local people rescued the boy and gave Sayeed a good beating.

Later, the ‘paedophile’ was handed over to police.

A case was filed in this connection.
