Dhaka: Seven people were killed and at least 10 others were injured after a bus fell into a roadside ditch at Meherabari under Bhaluka upazila in Mymensingh on early Saturday.

The identity of the victims could not be identified. The accident took place at about 6:15pm on Saturday.

Bhoradoba Highway Police Post officer in-charge sub-inspector Maruful Haq said, two people died on the spot and the rest died after they were taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

Fifteen to 20 people were injured in the accident. The injured were taken to Bhaluka Upazila Health Complex and Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
