Gazipur: A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident in Chandra area under Kaliakair upazila of Gazipur on Saturday.

The deceased is Rana Ahmed, 35, son of Ahsanul Haque of Abdulpur village under Daulatpur upazila of Kushtia.

The accident occurred when a Gazipur-bound truck hit Rana's motorbike in the area at 8:15am, leaving him dead on the spot, Konabari highway police officer-in-charge M Daud.

Police arrested the truck driver and seized the vehicle, the OC added.
