Jhenidah: A man was killed and ten others were injured when a bus plunged into a roadside ditch on the Jhenidah-Chuadanga road at Nagarbatan in Sadar upazila on Friday.

The deceased is identified as Liakat Ali, 35, of Kalapukur village in Shailkupa upazila, reported United News of Bangladesh.

Local people said the accident took place in the area at about 8:30am when a Jhenidah-bound bus from Chuadanga plunged into a roadside ditch due to blurred visibility caused by dense fog, leaving one person killed on the spot and 10 others injured.

The injured were taken to Sadar Hospital.
