Chief Justice seeks cooperation in reducing case backlogs
Dhaka: Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha sought full cooperation from government, judges, lawyers, justice seekers and people from all walks of life in redressing existing backlog of cases.
The Chief Justice made the call in a statement issued on completion of his first year of assuming office. Posted on the Supreme Court website the statement emphasized on extending support towards the judiciary for providing justice seekers with fairness in quickest possible time.
Justice Sinha said country's judiciary can become role model in the country if cooperation from all can be ensured. He also called for keeping the mutual cordial relation between all intact for continuation of the proud heritage of the judiciary, reports BSS.
The Chief Justice spoke about many initiatives taken by him in disposing of the cases quickly, filling the vacant post of judges, increasing infrastructural facilities and ensuring full use of court work hour, among others.
