3 killed in separate incidents in Jessore

Three people, including a minor girl, were killed in three separate incidents across the district on Saturda, reported UNB.

The deceased are Achiya Khatun, aged 10, daughter of Shafiqul Islam, a resident of Hanuia village in Monirampur upazila and a class III student of Rajganj Model Madrasha, Ajgar Ali, aged 44, an employee of Jessore Roads and Highways Department and Akram Hossain, aged 45, son of Akbar Ali hailing from Rajarhat Bazar in Sadar upazila.

In Monirampur, 10-year-old Achiya Khatun was injured as a wall clasped on her while she was playing at an abundant house in the area at afternoon.

Local people rescued her and sent her to Jessore Medical College Hospital where she succumbed her injuries at about 8:00pm.

In Sadar upazila, Ajgar Ali was injured in a road accident at Khajura on the Jessore-Magura Highway in the evening.

Later, he succumbed to his injuries at Jessore Medical College Hospital at about 9:00pm.

In the meantime, Akram Hossain was killed as he was crushed under the wheels of Benapole-bound commuter train at Gazir Dorga in Sadar upazila in the afternoon.

Police confirmed the incidents.
