Dhaka: A readymade garment (RMG) factory caught fire in the city’s Mirpur area on Sunday night.

Sources at the Fire Service Control room said the fire originated at the boiler room of the factory on the ground floor of the six-storey building in Mirpur-14 at about 8:42pm.

Five fire-fighting units rushed in and brought the blaze under control at about 9:50pm.

It is not still clear what caused the fire.
