Comilla: Two people including a constable of highway police were killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Eliotganj area of Daudkandi upazila on early Monday, reports UNB.

Eliotganj Highway police outpost in-charge Sergeant Moniruzzaman said the accident took place when a Chittagong-bound covered van hit a stationary pick-up van carrying a patrol team of Eliotganj Highway police in the area at about 5:00am, leaving Rokon Uddin, the constable of the police outpost dead on the spot.

Later, a lorry hit both vehicles, which left the helper of the covered van dead on the spot.
