2 burnt in Rampura fire
Dhaka: Two people were burnt in as a fire broke out at their house in the capital’s East Rampura early on Friday, reports local news agency.
Victims Rakib, believed to be 22, a year I student of Habibullah Bahar College, and Sajib, aged 26, a tailoring master, were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
The hospital authorities, quoting victims’ relatives, said the duo received burn injuries when the fire broke out at a room from leakage of the gas pipeline of the kitchen while lightning up cigarette at about 3:00am.
Later the burnt two people were taken to the burn unit of DMCH at about 4:30am.
Mamun, elder brother of Sajib, said Rakib received 25 per cent burns to his body while Sajib got 20 per cent burns.
