Rajshahi: An activist of local unit Juba League (JL) was killed in a road mishap at Pourasabha market gate under Bagha Upazila Headquarter of Rajshahi on Friday night, reports UNB.

The deceased is M Rabi, 28, son of Arman Ali of Milkibagha village under the upazila.

Bagha police officer-in-charge Ali Mahmud said the accident occurred when a picnic-party bus knocked Rabi down as he was crossing the road at about 9:30pm, leaving him seriously injured.

Local people rushed him to Bagha Upazila Health Complex where the attending doctors declared him dead.
