A sequel to Julie, a 2004 erotic drama that had brought in the era of sensual films in Bollywood, is set to be released this year, reports fashioncentral.in.

‘Julie made former Miss India Neha Dhupia a household name, was the film that prompted the actress, who later digressed into serious cinema, to say ‘Sex and Shah Rukh sell!’’

The director of the first film, Deepak Shivdasani, is set to make Julie 2, which will star Raai Laxmi replacing Neha.

‘Laxmi is a pretty big name down South, having worked in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam film industries. She has worked with stars like Ajith, Mohanlal, Mammootty etc., and now she is all set to enter Bollywood.’

‘The first poster of the film is out, and it is ‘alluring’ indeed.’

‘The poster show’s Raai Laxmi’s bare back which is partly covered by a transparent white fabric, showing more than it can hide!’

‘The film is scheduled to be released in August 2016.

Laxmi is also playing a role in Sonakshi Sinha’s Akira.
