6 missing in Dhalewshari trawler capsize

Narayanganj: Six people have gone missing after a sand-laden trawler capsized in the Dhaleshwari River.
The incident took place at Alirtek in Narayanganj Sadar upazila on Wednesday, reported UNB.
The trawler with 20-25 workers on board sank in the middle of the river around 2:30pm when it was hit by a Munshiganj-bound cargo vessel, said Narayanganj Sadar police officer-in-charge Abdul Malek.
Six people went missing in the incident while the rest managed to swim ashore, he said.
On information, police from Baktabali police camp rushed in and launched a rescue operation with the help of locals.
However, the identities of the missing people could not be known yet.
