Dhaka: Two construction workers died and two others were injured from electrocution in the city’s Badda area on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased persons were identified as M Monir Hossain, 45, and Badshah Miah, 32, while the injured are Sajib and Raju, reported UNB.

Quoting the injured, Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police camp in-charge Mozammel Haque said the four workers were lifting an iron grille to the rooftop of an under-construction building.

They were electrocuted around 3:00pm as the grille got electrified after it came in contact with an electric wire.

Later, they were taken to the DMCH where duty doctors declared Monir and Badshah dead around 4:00pm.
