Narayanganj: Two people died as they fell into a fuel tank at a filling station at Nayapur Haturapara of Sonargaon in Narayanganj on Monday.

Manjur Kader, officer-in-charge of Sonargaon Police Station, said Masum Mia, a worker of Chand and Surya filling station, slipped into a crude oil tank while working there in the afternoon.

Sensing the matter, the other workers of the filling station called security guard Hannan Mia to rescue Masum Mia.

Hannan Mia went missing when he entered in the oil tank to bring Masum out.

On information, firefighters rushed in and recovered the bodies of the two people from the tank at about 4:30pm.
