Magura: Two cousins were killed as a bus rammed into their motorcycle at Baromile on the Magura-Jhenidah Highway in Magura Sadar upazila on Thursday morning.

The deceased were identified as Raju Biswas, 19, son of Azad Biswas, and Liton Biswas, 20, son of Akbar Biswas, both residents of Doramadna village of Magura Sadar upazila.

Officer-in-charge of Magura Sadar Police Station Azmal Huda said the two were going home from Magura Sadar riding a motorbike.

When they reached Baromaile, a Meherpur-bound bus of ‘Mehepur Delux Paribahan’ hit their two-wheeler around 10am, leaving Raju dead on the spot and Liton injured.

However, Liton succumbed to his injuries on the way to Magura Sadar Hospital.

Police seized the bus while the drive managed to escape.

A case was filed with Magura Sadar Police Station in connection with the incident, the OC added.
