Rangpur: Two people were killed by a lightning strike at Kafrikhal village in Mithapukur upazila of Rangpur on Wednesday night.

The deceased are Zafar Miah, and Mozammel Hossain, reported UNB.

The Mithapukur police officer-in-charge Humayun Kabir said a streak of thunderbolt hit the duo in the area while they were returning home amid rain at about 10:00pm, leaving them dead on the spot.
