Natore: A man was killed in a road accident near Chandpur Graveyard on Natore-Rajshah highway under Natore sadar upazila of the district on Saturday.

The victim is Ashirul Islam, 45, son of late Shukchand Pramanik of Sultanpur village under Natore sadar upazila.

Natore Sadar police officer-in-charge (OC) Mizanur Rahman said the accident took place at about 3:00pm when a speedy bus hit Ashirul Islam while he was crossing the highway.

He died on the spot. Police has sent the body to Natore Sadar Hospital for autopsy. A case has filed with Natore Thana in this connection.
