Munshiganj: At least 40 people were injured and 100 houses damaged as tornado lashed Gaundia village in Louhajang upazila of Munshiganj on Sunday morning, reports UNB.

The storm swept through the village at about 9:25am and lasted for one minute.

Local sources said 40 people were injured as houses and trees collapsed on them when the tornado hit the village.

Saiful Islam, deputy commissioner of Munshiganj district, said affected people have been provided with emergency aids.
