Dhaka: Bangladesh Bank (BB) has asked all scheduled banks to keep open the branches located in industrial zones, especially those are connected with apparel factories on 10 and 11 September to facilitate payment of salary, bonus, and other allowance of apparel workers.

Banks have also been instructed to keep open their AD branches at airports, sea, river and land ports on 10 and 11September, said a BB circular here today.

It also asked banks to ensure overtime for employees for the two days and arrange adequate security for the branches.

The government employees will get 4-day Eid-ul-Azha vacation from 11 to 14 September as the government has announced 11 September as a public holiday.

The Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on 13 September.
