Jhenaidah: A man was crushed under the wheels of a running train at Phulbari railway crossing in Kaliganj upazila in Jhenaidah on Wednesday morning.

The deceased is Rabiul Islam, in his forties, a teacher of Jhanjhania Bangabandhu High School, also a resident of Soila village of the upazila.

The school authorities said the Khulna-bound ‘Chittra Express’ train from Dhaka hit Rabiul when he was crossing the railway track at about 9:30am, leaving him dead on the spot.
