Tangail: At least 10 passengers of a bus were injured when it collided head-on with a truck at Mirzapur upazila in Tangail on Thursday morning.

Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately. The injured were taken to Kumudini Hospital.

Local people and the Mirzapur Police said a North Bengal-bound bus collided head-on with a truck as it neared Maa Filling Station in the Kumarjani area of Mirzapur in Tangail and left 10 of the passengers injured.

One of the injured is in critical condition.

The Mirzapur police Officer-in-charge Mainuddin said police and Mirzapur fire fighters conducted rescue drive after the accident.
