Jhenaidah: At least fifteen passengers were injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch near Bhutiargati area on bypass road in Jhenaidah on Saturday afternoon.

Local people and police said the accident took place at about 12:30pm when a Kushtia-bound Rupsha Paribahan bus from Khulna tried to overtake another bus and plunged into a ditch as the driver lost his control over the steering.

Local fire fighter went to the spot and recovered the injured people.

Later, the injured were taken to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital.
