Sylhet: A young man went missing while catching fish in the Kushiara river in Fenchuganj upazila on Friday.

The victim is Jagrul Miah, 22, son of Abdus Sattar, a resident of Hatubhanga village in the upazila.

Sub-inspector of Fenchuganj Police Station, Shah Alam, said Jagrul dived deep into the river water to catch fish and at one stage, he disappeared at about 2:00pm.

Jagrul remained missing till the filing of this report at 9:30 am on Saturday.
