Narayanganj: At least four workers were killed as a truck plunged into a ditch at Sonargaon upazila in Narayanganj in the early hours of Wednesday.

Around six workers were also injured during the accident.

Identities of the victim could not be known immediately.

The Sonargaon police Officer-in-charge Manjur Quader said an Ashariarchar-bound paper-laden truck plunged at Sonargaon at about 1:30am, and left four workers killed on the spot.

The bodies were taken to Narayanganj General Hospital for autopsy. The injured were sent to several local hospitals.
