Narsingdi: A storehouse of garment scraps along the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway in Saheb Protap area of Narsingdi caught fire early on Tuesday.

Selim Miah, station officer of Narsingdi Fire Station, said the fire at the godown broke out around 4:30am from an electric short-circuit, burning down huge garment scraps.

On information, three units of firefighters from Sadar, Madhabdi and Shibpur fire services rushed in and doused the fire around 9:30 am.
