Rajshahi: Five people went missing as a boat capsized in the River Padma in Dargapara area of Rajshahi city on Sunday evening during a storm.

Three of the missing people are—Sarwer Hossain Rafiq, Robin, Asadul.

Shahdat Hossain, officer‐in‐charge of Boalia Police Station, said the boat carrying six passengers sank in the river at about 7:00pm as a nor’wester lashed the district.

A passenger swam shore while five others went missing.

Divers of fire service started rescue operation on Monday morning, added the OC.
