Musician Sovvota ties knot

Dhaka: Popular singer of youngster generation Karishma Sanu Sovvota got married to her loved one, Samiul Wahid Shovon, drummer of musical band Metal Maze, at a simple ceremony on Sovvota’s Mogbazar residence on Thursday night.
Sovvota’s brother, Shondhi, who is also a musician, said, ‘Following a simple Gaye Holud ceremony on Thursday evening, Sovvota got married on Thursday night. We did not go for any big fat party. As per Sovvota’s wish, only some close friends and relatives to our family were present during the wedding.’
Shandhi also sought blessings for his newly-wed sister and brother-in-law.
Sovvota said she and Samiul Wahid Shovon know each other for last 10 years. They have a good friendship.
Sovvota released her debut solo album ‘Jodi Thakto Dana’ on 7 July. The musician is now working as the director of Anondom Shongitangon, a music school established by her father music artist and song writer Khoda Baksh Sanu in 1986.
She also teaches at an English medium school in Dhaka.
