Dhaka: Three workers suffered burn injuries as a fire broke out at a belt factory in Mogoltuli of the city on Wednesday.

The injured are Ekramul, 13, Sanjoy, 14, and Ranjit, 27, workers of 'Aziz Belt Factory' situated on the 6th floor of a seven-storey building.

The fire erupted at about 1:30pm from a cigarette while the workers were mixing solution to make belts, said duty officer at the Fire Service central control room Mahfuz Riven.

The injured were taken to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, he said.
