Kurigram: Three motorcyclists were killed in a road accident in Amtoli area on Nageshwari-Bhurungamari road on Monday morning.

The deceased are Motaleb, about 35 years old, Sohel, about 32 years old, and Sujon, about 30 years old, hailing from Santospur union of Nageshwari upazila.

The accident took place when the motorcycle hit a roadside tree here around 9:30 am, leaving Motaleb dead on the spot and two others injured, said Afzalul Islam, officer-in-charge of Nageshwari Police Station.

The injured were taken to Nageshwari Health Complex where Sohel succumbed to his injures.

Later, Sujon died on way to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
