Khulna: Two members of a family were killed and three other members injured in a road accident near Pirojpur Bridge in Pirojpur district on Sunday night.

The deceased are Touhiduzzaman, about 42 years old, a businessman, and his daughter Tasmina, a class VII student of Khulna Collegiate Girls’ School, residents of Nirala residential area in Khulna city.

On Sunday night, when Touhiduzzaman along with his family members was returning home after visiting Kuakata, the microbus, carrying them, overturned near Pirojpur Bridge around 10:00 pm, leaving him dead on the spot and his wife and their three children injured, said victim’s brother Ahmed.

Later, the injured were taken to a private clinic in Khulna city but Tasmina died on way to Khulna.
