Three people were killed and two injured as a private car hit a roadside tree in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar on early Monday.

The deceased were identified as Mahbubur Alam Mabu, son Nur Alam of Jaiopara in Teknaf, Md Ismail, 32, son of Abdul Jalil Julu of Achhar Bania village and Helal Uddin, 28, of Moulovipara village in Teknaf, reports the UNB.

The accident took place around 4:00am when five friends were returning to Teknaf after visiting Cox’s Bazar sea beach, leaving three people dead on the spot and two others injured, said Officer-in-Charge of Teknaf Model Police Station Md Main Uddin Khan.

The injured were rushed to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital.
