Four bikers killed in Feni, Naogaon road accidents
Dhaka: Four motorcyclists were killed in separate road accidents in Feni and Naogaon districts on Friday.
In Feni, two Palli Bidyut employees were killed and another was injured as a bus hit their motorcycle on Dhaka-Chattogram highway at Nijkunjura of Chhagolnaiya upazila in the afternoon, reports the UNB.
The deceased were identified as Rony and Sirajul Islam, linemen of Feni Palli Biduyt Samity.
Police said the bus hit the motorcycle around 5:00pm as its driver lost control over the steering following a storm while the three linemen were going to repair an electric line, leaving two of them dead on the spot and the other injured.
In Naogaon, two bikers were killed as a truck crashed into their motorcycle at Kharail intersection in Patnitala upazila at noon.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Malek, 50, a converted Muslim and son of Dhirendra Nath of Bhangabaria area of the district town, and Taibur Rahman, 40, son of Syed Ali hailing from Pajarbhanga village of Manda upazila.
The truck coming from the opposite direction hit the motorcycle, leaving the duo dead on the spot, said Mazhar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Patnitala Police Station.
