One of the most popular Bollywood playback singers of the 90s, Abhijeet Bhattacharya has been quite bitter off-late, especially with the Khans. Known for his obnoxious tweets, the singer has been on a spree lately bashing the two Khans left, right and centre. Earlier, he mocked Shah Rukh Khan the songs in his recent films.

‘I made superstars with my voice. Till the time I sang for Shah Rukh Khan, he was a rock star. When I stopped singing for him - and I stopped singing for him - he came down to Lungi Dance.’ – the singer told India Today.

Now, he has slammed Salman Khan, accusing him of giving Pakistani singers all the songs in his movies. According to a report in Hindustan, Abhijeet accused Salman of being partial to Pakistani singers. Lately, Salman Khan’s hit songs have been sung by popular Pakistani singers who have become an essential part of Bollywood’s playback singing, reports timesnownews.com.

Be it Jag Ghumeya in Sultan (sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan) and Dil Diya Gallan by Atif Aslam, Salman’s hit songs from his recent films have been sung have been coincidentally sung by Pakistani singers. While, Salman may or may not have done it consciously, the pattern hasn’t escaped Abhijeet’s attention.

‘Why does Salman Khan only get Pakistani singers to sing songs in his films? Are Indian singers not good enough to sing in his movie? Pakistani artists need to be restricted from working in the Indian film industry. One one side these Pakistani’s are killing our soldiers and on the other side Salman is hellbent on giving opportunities to Pakistani talent only,’ the singer said.

Abhijeet is known for his controversial statements on political issues as well. Once a popular playback singer in Bollywood, Abhijeet Bhattacharya, now has reduced himself into a political commentator who often stirs up controversies with his conservative politics and jaw-dropping judgement.
