Kushtia: Two minor boys were killed and another was injured as mud collapsed on them while they were playing in Ghordoho Khal Para in Mirpur upazila on Thursday noon.

The deceased were identified as Akash, 12, son of Mantu Mandal and Tariqul, 12, son of late Hashem of the village while the injured is Likhon, 10, reports the UNB.

Abul Kalam, officer-in-charge of Mirpur Police Station, said that when the three boys were playing near a hillock, a chunk of mud collapsed on them around 12:30pm, leaving the duo dead on the spot and Likhon injured.

The injured is now undergoing treatment at Mirpur Upazila Health Complex.
