Venomous snake found near baby’s bed
Australian: A father vacuuming his house called for help when he made an unexpected discovery — a venomous snake hiding next to his baby’s crib, reports UPI.
Max from Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 said in a Facebook post the man was vacuuming at his Little Mountain, Queensland, home when he came across what he initially feared to be a young eastern brown snake, one of the most venomous serpents in the world.
‘Keeping an eye on the snake he gave us a call and I rushed out,’ Max wrote. ‘The culprit was actually a mildly venomous yellow-faced whipsnake.’
The post included a photo of the scene the snake catcher was confronted with in the child’s room with a challenge to Facebook users to ‘see if you can find [the snake] in this photo!’
The snake catcher later confirmed the snake was in the lower left corner of the photo, hiding next to a box of diapers.
The resident’s partner posted a photo in the comments on the post showing ‘the snake in question’ as it was being captured. She explained to concerned commenters that the bumper on the crib was installed backward because it was drying off from being washed.
