A Texas resident found an unexpected house guest when he returned to his flooded home on Friday.

While assessing the damage that Hurricane Harvey had caused to his property, Brian Foster spotted a nine-foot-long alligator under his dining table, news channel KTRK reported.

Wildlife officials remove the animal from his house in a process caught on camera.

The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office said on Twitter that it would be ‘delivered back into his natural habitat soon.’

Texas Parks and Wildlife officials said that alligators could be found in ‘areas where they aren’t normally observed’ due to the storm.

‘Alligators are wary of people but keep your distance,’ they added in a statement. ‘Never approach, harass or feed an alligator. When water levels recede, the alligator will likely disappear as well.’
